Helping others even if we don’t see any “reward” to that… The “reward” will be within ourselves…

Someone wrote: “If you are taught to hate yourself, you will want to be someone else”.

When we love ourselves, we are ourselves, no show off, no pretend… just ourselves. We then want to help others.

Is it that, when we hate ourselves, we do not feel worth helping others ?

Is there a tendency to push people not to love themselves, not to be themselves so they don’t help others ?
